Hello,
I started taking magnesium glycinate four days ago (1000mg) and by the end of the first day my mood had lifted a bit and I was more relaxed. Should I have gone up slowly or is 1000mg ok to start on? Also, can I take it all at once (I take it in the morning) or should I spread it throughout the day? My final question, are there any side effects other than diarhea (I haven't experienced it). Many thanks for sharing your experience,
mogger

personally i've found magnesium (i didn't take glycinate) to be an imperfect treatment for anxiety.
magnesium is a cofactor in the degradation of norepinephrine. too much norepinephrine can mean overstimulation, insomnia, etc. too little norepinephrine can lead to lack of energy, motivation, etc. i thought i could feel this when i took too much Mg.
this is just my personal feeling combining some experience and research. obviously your experience may vary.

thankyou for your reply. I actually had to give it up because I was too tired and unmotivated. I was taking 800mg. How much did you take if you don't mind me asking?
