Hi All!
I was researching GAD and saw where this drug is being tested in treatment thereof. I am not scientifically inclined, sad to say. So I was wondering if one of you brilliant scientific minds will look it up and share what it all means? Is it being developed? Is it in use generally now, such as an off-label use for GAD or...? I know my question is kind of broad, but if any of you could sum up what all the science-lingo is saying for this novice, I'd greatly appreciate it!

> janetI can only find old research, early '90s stuff, other than one fairly recent study in rats. It was being tested as a 'pure anxiolytic', i.e. one that didn't cause sedation and other secondary effects of the benzos. Unfortunately, it looks like the drug was poorly tolerated, which is to say it had its own adverse effects, distinct from the benzos. I don't see any evidence that it actually was licensed anywhere. If you have a specific link/reference to consider, I'd be happy to take a look at that for you.
