I've had difficulty figuring out some of the PubMed studies of Hydergine but some of them discuss MAO activity and I'm curious to find out whether it's safe to take with 5-htp and tyrosine.

In reply to is Hydergine an MAO inhibitor?, posted by zefdie on June 24, 2006, at 13:45:22
I thought it increased (I suppose is it) levels of seratonin and dopamine, but wasn't aware that came from MAO inhibition. I think it would be OK to combine it with 5htp and tyrosine, and that I have done it, or something like it. Hydergine is not terribly popular, but I really like it and would take it more if it was not for insomnia which I've had from way back.
