After nearly three years of healthy eating and a full course of vitamins and minerals following a triple bypass, I wound up in the hospital again last week to have a stent put in one of the previously grafted arteries. This was so depressing to me because I had thought the natural, alternative products were helping and reversing my CAD.
My body is a cholesterol-making machine regardless of what I eat or take apparently, so this time I agreed to take the prescribed Plavix and Vytorin.
Anyone know if there are any vitamins or minerals I may be taking that are not compatible with these meds? I would like to take Ginkgo Biloba and continue on my Red Yeast Rice, Policosanol, and TMG for example, but also want to be smart about it.
Any help would be appreciated.

The October edition of the Life Extension Magazine has an article on atherosclerosis. Maybe you could find it on the website (www.lef.org), or look up their protocols.
