Hello- After trying 14 medications for depression/anxiety I have decided that antidepressants are not for me. I'm starting to take Omega 3, at 1 gram(EPA) a day. Any success stories out there?
Also, I've read that it might take a long time to notice the effects of Omega 3 fatty acids. Any comments on the length of time to wait for results?Thank you

Fish oil has been my alternative mainstay. I haven't always been able to go it on o3 alone, but I certainly notice if I decide to drop it.
EPA seems to have the most mood brightening effect, and DHA is supposedly good for the brain in other ways.

It's not the sort of thing where you get instant results. Effects are subtle, almost unnoticiable at first. I first noticed relief in arthritis pain.
