Hi,
I am in a clinical trial of acupuncture for arthritis in my knees. One odd "side effect" I have noticed (besides the increased pain, soreness, and now some bruising) is that there are days or parts of days I feel a little less depressed! I'm guessing I have to feel worse (sore knees, etc.) before I can feel better pain wise? I've only been 4 times.
The info they gave me states that they also do acupuncture for depression. Has anyone tried this? Or tried acupuncture for something else and noticed a change in their emotional state?

Yes I certainly have, but it depends greatly on the individual accupuncturist. Same goes for their herbs. I've got a lot of respect for TCM.

I'm not taking any herbs, but I do know the doctor I'm using is quite good. He is a teacher at one of the TCM schools and would be considered an MD in China, but not here.
