Anyone got any ideas about this, polysacharides, and Earl Mindel?

My impression is that Earl Mindell of "Earl Mindell's Herb Bible" fame and other books, is pretty well respected. I'm thinking of ordering some goji berries from this place: http://www.naturalzing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=34&osCsid=b95519a06bb50ffcaf9ed95130ce7ed7

The berries will have the fiber too and I won't have to wonder if the "goji juice" is actually diluted with something else.

What do you think?

The juice is 90%. And costs A$45 or so. Maybe because you are dealing with multilevel marketing. The berries would be cheaper, but customs/quarantine is a problem here. I think you need to make sure its not Lycium Chinense (Chinese Wolfberry), although nothing against them, they're good too.

I read about the Chinese Wolfberry on that Natural Zing site.

"Note: The Tibetan Goji Berry is not to be confused with the Chinese Wolfberries becoming more and more available. The Tibetan Goji Berry comes in 18 oz (1/2 kilo) bags, keep this in mind when comparing to the 1 lb prices of other companies. The Chinese Wolfberry may be grown with pesticides in depleted soil, dyed red, sulfured and irradiated. The Chinese Wolfberry may be more expensive too. There is also a multi-Level marketing company selling Goji (gogi) Juice or Himalayan (Himilayan) Wolf berry Juice or Goji Berry Juice. It is our understanding that these are not made from the Authentic Tibetan Goji Berry, though people are acheiving great results using the juice. Bottled Goji Juice may contain a small amount of heated fruit juice concentrates and a small amount of sodium benzoate preservative. See recipe above to make your own pure Raw Goji Juice."

I haven't ordered from Natural Zing before, but they sound Very Sincere. http://www.naturalzing.com/nzaboutus.htm

I'm going to give them a try: Gogi berries, raw chocolate and "Blue Mush" for my "animal companion" otherwise known as my "dog".

Thanks for the links. The fresh berries aren't available from that nursery until August. I'm betting they will be very expensive too. I don't think a plant would do well here in Michigan either.

I might try the juice at a later time, but right now the dried berries sound good.
