Ive heard that St. Johns Wort is not suposed to be taken with certain medication and was wondering if it is safe to take it with trileptal?

Not a good idea. They both affect enzyme 3A4, and both induce it (increase the activity). Carbamazepine is also a substrate at 3A4, so it self-induces its own elimination. If you combined the two, you might lose some carbamazepine effect, *and* change the blood concentration of other substances even more than the Trileptal did on its own.
