I've a question - does Phenibut remove social anxiety/or is pro-social? If yes then at what dose and how long do the effects last? Thanks.

I can only say that it is supposed to do that, but the effects are temporary. It doesn't fix the tendency to be anxious in social situation, but it does allow you the experience of not being as anxious in those environments.....supposedly. That experience can have long-lasting effects, even thought the drug doesn't.

For me Phenibut initially worked very well, it felt like GHB.
However the effects soon wore off and I could not recapture them even with dose increases.

I have been taking phenibut and although I certainly understand some people's initial disappointment (it is not the next GHB), I have to say that this supplement is actually very great for social anxiety. I think the term "social anxiety" was actually named after me. I have tried most everything to get over it, but the things that have worked have always come back to bite me in the butt (addiction). Phenibut seems to be a different story. It may not get one high in the sense that GHB or alcohol does, but there is DEFINITLY a strong relaxation effect. I believe that there is also some strong pro-social effect. I find when I take it, I just enjoy talking more. Not in my usual drunken, blabering way, but in a relaxed, confident way. If your looking for a high (which I am not adversed to), this is probably not the way to go. But I would give phenibut a fair trial. It takes a couple hours (1.5-2) to kick in (I know, that sucks), but once
it does, it hangs around for awhile. In any case, best of luck!

Diesel that sounds fantastic. I'll have to check whether it is available in the health food stores here (Australia). If not it might be possible to import it.

i came in way late on this post but i would love to mention that phenibut is great for social issues...i find myself more ready to chat and the things that get to me about being in public(at stores, walking the dog, etc)don't even phase me...only thing is the sensation can be short lived...similar to benzos, you develop a tolerance and have to up the dose or use it intermittently..i try to save it for when i know i am going to be in a situation i dread...for phenbut try bulknutrition.com they might deliver outside the u.s. as well..i am not sure but you can check them out
This is the end of the thread.
