i hope posts like this dont all get dumped into the alternative board because it would really be nice to find something that would make my desipramine do whatever its supposed to do.

It could go on both boards since it is discussing a combination of a pharmacudical and an alternative.

Just be aware of side effects of Gingko. I started to have lots of bruising and realized that Gingko was the culprit. It has a blood thinning effect so those prone to bruising or other problems shouldn't take it. never take if you are on Coumadin or ASA therapy for other reasons.

I haven't done it, but I see no obvious reason not to try it.
Ginkgo has hormonal impacts (affects steroid metabolism), so you shouldn't take it chronicly. You can safely use it episodicly, but you need to take break periods, too.

Thanks so much.
