Hey everyone :)
I just switched some of the supplements I've been taking, and I felt better for a couple days, and now I'm progressively getting shaky (internal) and anxious. Does anyone know what might be doing this? Here's what I was and am taking for anxiety and depression:
BEFORE: 5HTP/400mg/day - SJW (Nature's Resource/Walgreens)/1200mg/day - Calcium/Magnesium - B complex
NOW: Tryptophan/2g/day - SJW (Perika)/1200mg/day - Calcium/Magnesium - B complex - DMAE/600mg/day - Tyrosine/2g/day
I was feeling OK before, but not all the time... now I feel coarse and tense. Any help much appreciated :)

Hi there!
Your dose of DMAE is probably too high. At high doses, side effects can include anxiety and overstimulation. Have a look at the information at the following website (you will have to cursor down to get to the info on DMAE):
http://www.raysahelian.com/methyl.html
Also, you might want to reduce your dose of Tyrosine for a few days. When I tried 1.5g of Tyrosine (along with L-Glutamine), I started getting very agitated and shaky after about a week.
Good luck to you.

Thanks jujube :)
I'm really sensitive to things too... I have a bad habit of thinking "more is better" I know that's not true for most things, but there I go, with hands full of pills every morning :)

One of many pieces of valuable information I have gleaned from the knowledgeable people on this board is "start low, and go slow". Also, it is to your advantage to add one new supplement at a time with about a week or so between adding another so, if you do experience adverse effects, you are better able to identify what is causing the reaction.
