I'm really fed up with the meds, my brain hates them. I have GAD and panic disorder, with a lot of derealization.
What would be good ones to start with (dosage)? Tryptophan? b6? Omega, zinc, magnessium?
I'd appreciate any advice.
Is there a quicker way to flush the meds out of the body?

I think any alternative treatment for depression should start with proper diet and excersize as well as exposure to sun light. If you get aerobic excersize daily and eat a diet that is low in sugar and get regular exposure to sunlight, that will do more for your depression than any supplement ever will.

Thanks Dan. I do eat very well, and exercise regularly. Probably don't get enough sunlight, always want to sleep in the dark, and living in Seattle probably doesn't help.
But I stuggle much more with anxiety than I do depression.
But I do like this more natuaral approach, and am excited to start seeing a homeopathic doc soon, and stop seeing psychiatrists.
I appreciate your advice, and welcome any more you might have,Brian

Best of luck. I am starting on this route now too. I've started taking tryptophan, but a bit too early to tell if it is working.
I'm certainly fed up with prescription medications. I've been bouncing from one AD to the next for the 10-12 years and I just feel like they have really done a number on my brain and on my attitude towards depressoin and that I am worse off now than I was before I started.
