I recently started taking fish oil, 2 1000mg capsules a day. I have heard that it is important to take certain vitamins with fish oil because it somehow depletes certain vitamins in your system. Does anyone know what these are? I take a multivitamin every time I take a fish oil capsule, is that sufficient?

Vitamin E is the most important. That applies no matter why you're taking fish oil. If there is a particular health issue behind your decision, certain other nutrients may be indicated. Alphalipoic acid is also a very strong candidate, right behind vitamin E. Alphalipoic helps recycle vitamin E, and extends its usefulness.

I started taking the fish oil for migraines, but I read here that it may work for mild depression and anxiety. I hope so because I recently stopped taking prozac (I was on a very low dose anyhow). I was trying 5htp, but I think I'm going to see how it goes with just the fish oil for now.
The multivitamin has a decent amount of Vitamin E, I think 500% rdv.

Have you tried magnesium for migraines? Just ran across this recently and I have read it elsewhere also.
