> Hi Michael,
> I've a q for you about Gotu Kola. You've mentioned in one of your posts that it was the best "herbal" supplement that you've tried for social-anxiety/phobia. Could you say more about it? What could it be compared to (which med) ? Does it make you only "not-anxious" or actually pro-sociable? And the last q: have you ever tried GHB(Xyrem) for SP? Thanks for your time.

Gotu Kola was better for startle anxiety than SJW, Kava or theanine, but not as good as Picamilon. It was not prosocial, however. The reason I stopped taking it is because it caused fatigue and gave me pretty bad acne. Besides, I take Klonopin, so it's not like I needed to take Gotu. I was just trying it as a possible alternative.
I've never tried GHB, but I have no prejudices against it. However, I probably won't try it until they have an extender release version and I'm absolutely clear on the safety issues.

For acne I *highly* recommend vit.B5 (pantothenic acid) in high doses. Do a google.com on newsgroups on "B5 group:alt.skincare.acne" for more info.

How would you compare Gotu to Klonopin for social-anxiety? Does Klonopin cause you to be more pro-social or are just takes the anxiety away?

Why would you need extended version? You can take it every 2-3 hours and there are no problems with the addiction/withdrawals IF you take 1-2 days of it every week. And it's the most PRO-SOCIAL med/supplement I have ever tried (and I've tried most of the social-anxiety stuff except Nardil/Parnate). Especially GHB combined with Adderall/Dexedrine (well, except MDMA of course ;-))
I highly recommend it.
