Hello All!
I would appreciate suggestions that anyone has in the area of supplements for lack of energy and motivation.
I'm presently taking effexor. While I feel a bit better, I still don't seem to want to "get off my rear".

have you tried DMAE? I found it was good for motivation and focus, without feeling like a stimulant.
You could also try l-tyrosine or DL Phenylalaline, or l-phenylalanine.
Acetyl-l-carnitine is also good for energy.
I tried all these and found DMAE the most useful. Also a strong siberian ginseng extract (say 28:1) is very good as again, it does not produce nervousness.

Selegiline really did the trick for me as I was hardly even doing anything to as much as take care of myself even. Now I have a lot more energy & am taking care of myself much better than ever before. yes it gets you off your duff & helps motivate you as well as being much happier too.

I take Twinlabs liquid DMAE first thing in the morning. Dosage varies as to what else I'm taking.
This morning I took
ginkgo plus 1 tab
DMAE 80mg
COQ10 30mg80 mg is very low. Most people will not notice an effect on less than 150mg (DMAE). Note that tablets contain DMAE bitartrate - 0ne 350mg tablet of this only contains 150mg pure DMAE. If you get the tablets start with one in the morning and see how it goes.
You can add more, but watch out for stiff muscles and irritability if you take too much.
I personally like mixing it with other things at a lower dose, but I have taken it on its own before and it was still great.
