> At the risk of getting a redirect (what happened to the "just post to the board the poster posts on"?... but I digress). I wanted to ask you a question(s). In a previous thread, you discussed the use of green tea extract. I was wondering if you could let me know a bit more about your findings and specifics - dosing, frequency, etc. I don't like green tea as a beverage and would maybe like to try the extract.

I tried taking green tree extract for 2 days...probably not enough time to necessarily make a judgement, BUT, for the last 2 days, I have been MORE tired and less energy - sleepy, sleepy, sleepy - as if I have a paradoxyl reaction. Maybe, I would have felt this "just because", but it seemed to be a cause and effect thing.
Has anyone used the extract (specifically) and not had good results but me?
My alternative plan is going well and I feel this wasn't a good addition for me. Just my experience.

This may be a paradoxical reaction.
In some cases however, when a medication or supplement works to help ones anxiety, it tends to cause considerable lethargy the first couple of days. The reason for this being that when the HPA axis is out of whack, the brain attemps to compensate for the overproduction of cortisol, by downregulating its responce to it. When the cortisol is put back under control the brain again needs time to re-adust to the reduced level. Ie the cortisol crash.
Of course this could be entire baffonery, but I had a similar reaction when starting ginkgo or remeron. Both have a powerful anticortisol effects which left totally wiped out. After a week or two my brain adjusted and my buffer for stress significantly increased.
But alas, it really could be a bad reaction, in which case just follow your instincts.
