Symptom diagnostics ,No medical test !

Posted by Ron Jones on November 3, 2003, at 15:09:31

There is no medical test for mental illness so how do they know what you have? They look at the symptoms and this results in false results. You need to be first checked for all known causes of mental symptoms before it can be ruled mental.Looking at symptoms is very misleading.Anyone can fake a mental illnes in order to get drugs .

Hi Ron.

Could I please ask you a couple of questions.

Where specifically, i.e. which textbooks and studies, are you getting your biochem information from?

You said you were looking for a person with a trained science background and mental illness. Why did you not reply to me when I said I had qualifications in medical biological chemistry and also have bipolar (mixed episodes)?

Cheers,
Amy

Mark Gold has books on the known causes of mental illness that are not checked for by doctors.I have read reports on inositol and the signal transduction pathways from researchers and Universitys all over the world on the web and at PUBMED.gov and MEDLINE.gov .Andrew SToll has the book on fish oil .He is at Harvard MEd.He also tested choline.Low levels of choline cause mania plus choline it is belived and it stoped mania in hard cases. The Bi polar Child and A Users Guide to THe Brain are very good books. Also Dealing With Depression Naturally. Ben Gurion U. and Dr York at Duke U. are doing lots of research on inositol and signal transduction pathways.Look at Bipolar News.com the have medical studies on fish oil ect.I have looked at tons of reports.Dr.Berridge found the IP3 second messenger and started it all.Stoll used Medline to find that lithium inhibits PKC activity. There is just so much to know. You need to look at the big picture and be an expert in 5 fields to understand it all.I can get non of these pompous ases to look at IP4 as the cause of manic depression .They say they are not working on IP4 and some guy in England is named Fain.It says that conversion of Ip3 to IP4 stops the release of calcium from the ER.Then the enzyme IMpase converts Ip3 to myo inositol .Do you get this.See why I need help here.Do people understand this?
