Sounded a bit odd, since so many things claiming to help memory are out there, but I did a search for the name of the product and ".gov" and found the national institute of health did experiments which seem to prove it works.

They also mention at:

"The results show a significant effect of the Brahmi on a test for the retention of new information. Follow-up tests showed that the rate of learning was unaffected, suggesting that Brahmi decreases the rate of forgetting of newly acquired information."I thought some might be interested to know this. If you have anything else PROVEN to help memory in most people, please post it here.

Thanks for those links.
One small study reported in various news sources recently on sage oil: http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_813873.html
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/3189635.stm
"Centuries-old theories that the herb sage can improve memory appear to be borne out by modern research.
Scientists at the Universities of Newcastle and Northumbria tested 44 people, who were either given the herb or a dummy placebo pill. They found that those given the sage oil tablets performed much better in a "word recall test".
Experts believe the active ingredient may boost levels of a chemical that helps transmit messages in the brain."

I got my bacopa in, and took two pills this morning. Didn't notice a thing.
I got the brand from here:
http://www.herbalprovider.com/bacopa.html?src=ggl&w=bacopaHow do I properly test it out, and has anyone ever had any sucess with it?
How long does it take to kick in? Any other variables?

The webpage for bacopa says it may take a few weeks. Well, I'll keep trying until I run out of pills I suppose.
It is odd isn't it? Everything people sell requires weeks or months to work, forcing you to buy more of it.
I'm always suspecious of anything that requires a second bottle of it be bought before you have enough to see any results. This stuff came with 60 pills, and says to take one or two a day, so I'm taking two each morning for 30 days to see what happens.
My Sage Oil hasn't come in the mail yet. It has a short term effect you see instantly I believe.
I know of no problems mixing this all together with my other stuff I'm taking now, and the tryptophane I ordered from the horse store, when it comes in. Maybe it will cause a permanent mutation that prevents my mind from ever forgetting, and gives me super intelligence, ... or...
Do to a strange mutation from too many brain altering supplements mixed together, the man known only as Wolf Dreamer underwent a startling transfermation. Now gifted with supreme intellect, a perfect memory, and a rapid learning ability, he uses his new found mental powers to not only solve all the worlds problems and program really amazing computer games, but also has developed his mind to the point where he can use telepathy and move small objects with a meer thought, among other psychic phenenum.
"Yes, I can see the future. In fact, I see the world is going to end in about two weeks from now, after I build a doomsdays device to destroy it, just to kill off all the stupid people that keep asking me to read their futures, and tell them the winning lottery numbers! Now begun, less I unlease the fury of my mental attacks upon you, caveman!"

My own experience with herbs in general hasn't been that good. I suspect that's why there's a whole profession called "herbalist" -- people who know where to get the best products and how to combine them for the best results.
The sage oil may be interesting though, I wish I could try it. I'm taking a class right now and a boosted short term memory to help me through a quiz would help a lot.
