choline ssri's lar hoover et al

i get the blurry vision from lexapro, too
and yesterday i came across a post that said it was due to the
anti-choligeneric activity of ssri's.....
does this strike you as correct?

if so, can i offset this and perhaps some other se's with a choline
supp?
the one i have on hand is 'american lecithin 'phoschol', very pricey, but
the only one recommended by sherry rodgers in her latest book....
'detox or die', which btw i highly recommend......she gives the best
protocol for heavy metal detox i have seen to date

as allways, i look forward to your posts

best,

joebob

It's one possible explanation. The focussing and dilation processes are cholinergic phenomena.

I'd have to avoid a yes or no reply. Nothing's clear-cut.

Unless she gives some dramatic rationale for that selection, I don't buy it.

My own personal choice is to use soya lecithin granules, which supply phosphatidylcholine, and other phosphatides as well. It's really cheap at health food stores. Just smell some before you buy it. If it smells rancid, get some somewhere else. Mildly nutty flavour, but it does stick in the teeth a bit. Up to ten teaspoons a day, but I use two.

Thanks, but you have to be an American to qualify. I'm a Canuck.

Lar

i have used extensively....and am of the opinion that it doesn't work for mercury, esp in the brain....

rodgers doesn't use meds, only supps

however in my circle of naturopaths and homeopaths we use dmps, along with the supps....it does work, and i can tell fairly quickly that it does

i will have to look for that protocol

some folks talk about pca but our experience is that it doesn't meet the hype, we know the guy who makes it...........see 'bioray'

i'm using depakote which i have mixed feelings about, but keep wanting to go back to a little lithium orotate.........i've read the posts and the paper from the post-grad re: orotate toxicity, but have not found any reports of toxicity anywhere else

and it seems to me that so many people are taking serenety now, that there should be se appearing by now

have you tried the orotate, and do you think there is a danger of toxicity?

as i mentioned in the past, i get my supps at wholesale and would be glad to help you out with whatever you want

best,

joebob
