so england etc have introduced laws against modern slavery whereby people are accountable for eliminating slavery from their supply chains.
it's a problem for new zealand because our whole plan for development was for us to make ever increasing use of slavery. we thought that we could force people (maybe international 'studnets') to slave our plantations over summer etc etc.
jacinda ardern is going to have a chat to the slavers, apparently. to figure out what new zealand can do to prevent and delay and obstruct and reassure them that everything is going to be okay and make new zealand the most desirable the best-est place in the whole wide world in which to traffic in slaves.

so... we still don't have saliva testing.
our front line workers keep getting threatened with 'comply with our directive or you will be fired'.
and being fired... well it's about starving them out, you see.
they quite like to stab them up the nose with the stabby sticks. it'll be the managers. or the managers of the managers. they'll say their stupid children workers won't / can't refrain from eating or smoking so the saliva tests aren't right for them.
but really the issue is that they like abusing them. they like going in for the most invasive. the like the fact that there is scaremongering about them being fired if they won't comply about them starving if they won't comply.
that's just the kiwi way. that's just how we do business.

i don't think any other country started testing children for Covid until AFTER the less invasive saliva tests had been rolled out.
new zealand was all 'you can't proooooooooove that saliva tests are as reliable as the super invasive tests' so they set about strongly encouraging an entire high school of studnets to be nasal swabbed. the compliance was bullying, basically. people weren't really given the option of simply self isolating for 2 weeks quarantine instead of getting the nasal swab. or if they were that was accompanied by much social pressure where leaders say they aren't pulling their weight etc. trying to get the herd against them.
people dropped out of high school over it.

it was disturbing to the people to see the way in which the party turned against muller, i reckon. then blamed him for having mental health issues (like that justified their nastyness). the new zealand people don't want a leader who crushes her friends. not friends, clearly. no... working together. not in the national party. simon bridges thrown under a bus, too, instead of being supported.

it's time for jacinda to step aside. if labor does win. she should really step aside now.
he's a good alternative. it seems. in a best of a bad lot sort of a way.

apparently by the end of the year new zealand will be ready to pronounce that genocide is wrong. or that there is evidence of genocide in china. that the evidence that is coming out of china is consistent with genocide. that new zealand doesn't support that (isn't profiteering from it).
but not on jacinda's watch, apparently. jacinda denies it.
and about the organ trafficking...
apparently the government no longer has a blank cheque book for cancer kids. i think they were sourcing human antibodies and stem cells etc etc from India where it wasn't obvious that they were obtained by people who did not give informed consent for them to be taken from them.
especially once ventilators became more widely available. you could put your Covid patients in ventilators to immobile them and then collect up their blood and purify it to get antibodies for market. right? that's how we do? that's how we would do if we had more technology and science in nz. that's why it isn't allowed to develop. the use to which we would put it. we know because we know what we do with the little bits and pieces that we have got.
we just won't do informed consent. our leaders refuse to listen to to the people and to allow their messages to have any kind of personal power. it is all about listening to what the people need only to use that against them. do a needs assessment and then you know what it is you are intentionally withholding from them. that's the ticket. that's the plan. to profit yourself from their expense and their opporession. that's the plan. that's the goal. that's the aim. that's the explanation that makes the best sense of how it is that we do so repeatedly and reliably worse than chance.

apparently they are taking it to the court of appeal. that bloomfield ordered a lockdown of the entire country (which violated the rights of the people as written in the bill of rights) in a manner that unlawful.
and while new zealand had quite a bit of time to see the need for a lock-down coming... given what was happening other places around the world... how community transmission was (despite everyones best hopes -- allegedly) really really really taking hold. the sit back and wait and hope for the best strategy was not working...
and wuhan figured it out. and the people went into lockdown. and the western world was incredulous about the human rights abuses happening in china. and then it wasn't so very long after that bodies were piling up in the streets of new york. and then the unthinkable happened. new york went into lockdown. reluctantly. this is the usa. the freeest county in the world (with respect to laws etc to protect the freedoms of the people)... went into lockdown. because of the bodies. bodies. bodies. piling up in the streets.
and then other places too. lockdown.
so new zealand had more time to prepare. more time to prepare than wuhan. than new york. than washington. than boston. than connecticut. than rhode island. more time than various other places around the world... england... europe.. more time. more time. more time. because of relative geographic isolation. more time than australia. more time. more time more time more time. the most of the time of all.
and our bill of rights... our protections for human rights... are less well developed than anywhere else... anywhere else at all
(i don't know enough about China to know who is denying what is going on with the slavery and detention camp etc etc thing and -- who in China is advocating or advancing for the rights of those people within China. I mean.. Trying to rid China of slavery and being exploited by the West who keeps accepting these cheap goods... Is that the work of China trying to improve things for it's people or... Is that the developed Western world trying to force China to develop? What seems most plausible? What seems most plausible, really???)

No. knew that he could do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted becuase he wanted with impunity. that makes the most sense, really.
The NZ people were so sick and exhausted of their slavery-work that they were about to drop dead of exhaustion anyway. People didn'dt need a great deal of encouragement to not go to work during that first lock-down. I remember the news articles at the time.... Employers (CEOs and the like) couldn't understand why they apparently had these amazing buildings etc for their worker-slaves but their worker-slaves weren't properly apprecitive..
The worker-slaves were disgusting. Doing things like eating their lunch on toilet stalls adn smearing faeces on the walls.
The CEO's couldn't even visit their worker-slaves in their cubicles. Or use the same bathroom as them. Ugh. Ugh. Stupid nasty filthy children worker-slaves.
In the supposedly desirable corporate offices.

Apparently we are having a lot of Respiratory Syncytial Virus in infants this year because they weren't exposed to it last year (so haven't developed any kind of immunity) so we are getting a couple years worth of infants all at once.

I don't suppose we would know whether it was RSV or whether it was Covid because we aren't doing saliva testing.
I don't suppose it matters, anyway, right? Because the treatment is all the same? All immunisations are just the same as each other and about that source of antibodies for the RSV vaccine...

Apparently there were two groups who put in tenders or whatever you call it for Saliva Testing for Covid. One was accredited (whatever accreditation there is I don't know) and the other was not. The non-accredited got the contract.
But then only around 34 tests have been done subsequently.
I don't understand why the government didn't go 'well, why don't we give them 1/2 the contract each. Let them both do it. Then if there are problems that one of them are having... Maybe the can learn a bit from the other one. You know... A sort of background or backdrop of co-operativity for the greater good and a bit of friendly rivalry to spur them to be the 'best' (in some respect or other).
Especially considering that saliva testing (or fluid sample testing) can be used more widely. To develop tests for other viruses. Like RSV. Herpes. The cancer causing strains of that. For less invasive testing (ooooh but we all know how they like to watch the teeangers finger poking the patients who have been anesthetised for unrelated procedures -- right? right? right???).
Apparently there was some kind of a problem with the nasal swabbing people wanting ALL the work. So pressure for that. Maybe to pay off the PCR machines or whatever.
Why would the government diversify when they can just give ALL the money to ashley bloomfield. Seems legit.

Those administrators share it amongst themselves. That is a few 1/2 million dollars per year salaries.
The government says 'we don't know where all the money went'.
But that's where it went.
You could kind of think of it as hush money...
A few 1/2 million dollar salaries per year to people who find a way to fudge the fact that it was only ever a few million dollars and it was never 1 billion dollars.I think that is most likely it.
I imagine it is possible that Bloomfield doesn't really get 1/2 a million per year, either. I imagine it's possible that it's some kind of hush money to artificially inflate all other kinds of numbers.
I suppose the water-care people get paid so much because it is hush money, again.
They take sort of up to 1 million dollars for themselves to pretend that they got however many billions for infrastructure work or whatever...
When really they didn't. They got 1 million dollars for themselves to pretend...That makes more sense of what they said about why Kathy whats-her-face got paid so redicuoulsly much to work on the Southern District HealthBoard.
She was supposed to be appointed to go in there and figure out what was going on with the fact that the money supposedly from the Government wasn't getting spent on anything to do with hospital maintenence or staffing or... Anything. That anybody could see.
And apparently she got paid so very very very very very very much because she was required to, effectively, go in there and nark on her colleagues. Nark about where the money was going and what was going wrong in the Southern DHB. And apparently narking on her collegues in management or administration would be a career ender for her. Her reputation would be ruined. She would never find or get work as a managing administrator ever again. ANd this was supposed to justify her rediculous salary. Because it was only supposed to be temporary. Short term. Then she promised never to work again. To retire early. To be gone.
But SHE IS STILL THERE. She is on MORE MONEY THAN SHE WAS ON BEFORE. And how many hundreds of managers or administrators are similarly on ridiculous salaries...
I think the best sense...
Is that the Government paid her up to 1 million per year to pretend that it was about corruption in the local administration (which it was). But the nature of the corruption was that the central government was paying them so much as hush money. Paying them off for the fact that there wasn't any money for anything else. In the sense of the money they were promised in the budget never was paid. They weren't wrong when they cried they didn't get enough money from central government. But they kept taking the hush money... They kept taking it... They kept taking it... They kept taking it...
Don't know. Don't quite know.

I'm trying to figure out why they want to pay GP's lots of money to administrate money in ways that are beyond accountability to ensure that councellors are not paid.
