I'd say "us", not "you", and maybe we're finding a way. I think you and I are, at least.

Maybe not, but it was hardly civil for him to destroy Ahab's ship and sever his leg. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I understand what you are saying, but I never asked to be a whale. Although, if I were a whale, I think being white would be pretty cool.

I see what happened.

After reviewing and pondering some of these threads last night, I came to the conclusion that my presentation could be better balanced.

I wish your FB and Twitter buttons were on. :-)

Because I think that happens a lot in life. People make you their whale without asking. It can have its downsides, but in a way it's pretty cool.

Friends,
It is written here by Scott about me,[...I never once berated the person...].

Yes he did and here is the proof. I believe Scott is a bully as well as a liar. A bully not the magnificent white leviathan of his grandiose fantasies (and his rather pedestrian interpretation of the literary classic).

but you are truly a coward for doing so. I think it is about time for you to spend more time working on your own character than to attack the character of others. Coward.

he was hateful and cruel towards Lou.

I feel like I am being stalked by creepy obsessive guy screaming I'm a big white whale and Captain Ahab is after me. Surely you realize what his is doing. It's pathetic. I want nothing to do with him. I do not want to be his "captain ahab" or anything else. Maybe it's time for a babble restraining order against him? Or you could block me?

Sorry that was unnecessary. I'll try to avoid talking about him any more as well as talking to him. You can thank me by instituting voluntary blocks instead of just posting thanks(nm)

>>Berated is not a feeling, it is an accusation that I am berating you.

Absolutely correct. You got me there. I wasn't paying attention. I've noticed I'm rusty in my civility - here anyway - and I think it's from lack of practice. Erosion...apathy...ah...never mind - I digress.

Sorry about that. What I meant to say and should have said was exactly what you said: "I feel hurt and dismayed and misunderstood."

But I would have to add pissed off, too. Can that be a feeling? Just a crude form of anger? I think so.

>>That is not true.

I disagree. If it means harsh criticism, anyway. That seems accurate.

Buckets of that to go around.

Hi Lou.

Yes. That was pretty bad. I was quite angry. I should have apologized for it immediately. I won't make excuses. So...

I am sorry.

I am sure you could pluck out older posts in which I was mean to you. My treatment of you has evolved over time, and I have defended you as a person more often than I have berated you.

Not so fast.

"Put-down" is not at feeling?

I feel put-down.
I feel berated.

> You got me there.

Not really.

Sometimes, a past-participle can act as an adjective. "To feel berated" is a statement of emotion.

This website is REALLY cool!
