Hi Dr. Bob,
Let me know if you're going to be close to Ottawa OK? We could get together. I'm sure there are lots of other Eastern coast area people here.
We have a very fancy looking convention centre now. It was just built recently. It's really nice. I hope we hold a big conference that you will go to.
We have the world's largest outdoor skating rink in the winter, the Rideau Canal and the Parliament Buildings are nice to look at. It's quite pretty here in Ottawa and there's Gatineau Park nearby with tons of hiking trails. I think you're like an active guy. There's lots to do here for active people.
It's a pretty nice area. Not much violent crime. It's rare to hear of a murder. A homeless man got stabbed like a year ago and that made headlines for a long time.
We don't have as much night life as Toronto of course, but I like Ottawa better anyways.

NYC counts as close too! lol
Yay, 2014 will be in NYC and 2015 in Toronto. I'll definitely be there for those. OMG, I can think of at least one other person too, babblers, who might come for those.
I might have to go visit you before then in Chicago or something lol, all work and no play makes me go bonkers lol. JK.
Montreal? It's just a 2 hr drive for me from Ottawa to Montreal.
