Do we get too emotional and angry about admin issues? For example, we have a good idea from the FAQ what sort of behaviour leads to PBCs and blocks, so why do we get upset when it happens?

I think there were times when it was possible that posters might be blocked when they didn't quite understand the rules, or I statements. I think Dr. Bob's come a long way in working to make sure people understand, as much as he can. I'm sure it happens from time to time, but I think it happens less frequently.
Maybe part of the anger has to do with people's attitudes towards authority, and maybe with their desire to have Babble rules what they think *should be* rather than what *is*?
For example, my relationship with authority figures has always been pretty good. It is relatively natural for me to look to them for protection, and I get angrier with lack of protective acts than with acts that might be a bit overprotective. There are certainly rules and laws in life that I don't like. I try to change them if I think it's possible. If not, I try to figure out how to best get my goals accomplished within them.
Do you also have relatively good relationship with authority figures? (Teachers, police, etc etc)
(This is just a theory. I'm not drawing conclusions about anyone or anything. I'm just advancing an idea, not insisting that it is correct.)

I think so, usually. I suppose I just think that it's Dr. Bob's website so we have to accept his rules, even if we don't always agree.

Yeah, I figure that too.
Though it doesn't stop me from trying to change the rules from time to time.
This is the end of the thread.
