FB makes a great point. If I ask wether goats milk or cows milks has a higher protein content I don't expect a long post on the evils of cows milk. I'm a bit confused that you feel his statement was uncivil. He said he resented someone's post. He was only stating his feelings and that really was a request that someone honor his request. No derogatory adjectives were directed at Lou.
I think that has become a problem in threads. Someone asks a question and someone uses the question as an opportunity to state their agenda. Dr. Bob could there be a rule to honor what the poster has asked for? This has rightfully caused some people to become upset and than they get reprimanded.
Lou has stated that he says these things for our good but grown people do have the right to have people answer the question in an appropriate way.I am the judge of what is good for me.

I agree, it's a statement of feelings, but stating certain feelings about a post can lead the poster to feel hurt.

For example, you can say you're not interested in hearing about the evils of cow's milk. Then I'd consider replies like that not to be supportive of you.
People who start other threads about cow's milk might, however, be interested in learning about its possible side effects.
Does that sound like a reasonable way to balance support and education?
