I wanted to let Babblers know I am no longer a deputy. Dr. Bob has "accepted my resignation" (that's so formal-sounding for me, as I am a pretty casual person, but that is the way he refers to it....) as of a couple days ago.
I have enjoyed trying to help this community be more safe and supportive. (I hope and intend to still do that, just in a different way...) I have especially loved working with my fellow deputies, past and present, more than I can even express in words. They are the best. It's just time for me to focus more on other things, including, I hope, more frequent posting here as *just* a poster. It's become too difficult for me to do that, and to attend to my IRL "stuff," while having the responsibility of agreeing to assist Dr. Bob.
I am not going anywhere - Babble is too much a part of my life, so I am afraid you cannot get rid of me all together ;-) I will still be more than happy to help anyone with things that I know about, just from being here for 5 years, and being a former deputy. I hope it has come through that my desire to help has never stemmed from the title, but from....my desire to help :-) Of course, I can't do anything official now, but informally, as a long-time poster, I can. Things like civility buddy or questions about where something is in the FAQ, etc.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me and the other deputies, especially during times when Dr. Bob was absent for long stretches and there may have been some upset in the community. Your kind posts, Babblemails and positive thoughts were/are wonderful things. Please never think they don't make a difference - they do - a huge one during stressful times.
My Babblemail will be on, as always. I am sometimes a slow answerer, though, I have to warn you. I am better in chat or writing quick posts, I think.

I know that I have said this to you once before, but your posting name reflects perfectly your essence and the kindness and love you manage to always lavish upon us at Psycho-Babble. I'm glad you will still be around for all of us to benefit from. You are indeed a great role model, and I think your continued presence will enhance the posting community of Psycho-Babble as you do a great job of leading by example.

Thank you so much. I try and mostly don't really meet my own expectations, but I do try. Apparently, something is coming across well - even better than I can see.
I hope I can live up to all you wrote.

Thank you for your 3 years of service, including during times that were more difficult because I wasn't around. I've valued your point of view and contributions, and I'll miss you as a deputy. I'm glad you'll remain a member of the Babble community as a former deputy.

10der, your name suits you very well, and I think Babble got real benefit from the time and energy you invested as deputy. I'm glad it will continue to get benefit from your investment as poster. :)

Why would you think this? Surely not from anything I wrote. What I wrote is the truth. I wouldn't have posted it if it wasn't. Dr. Bob did not eliminate me, nor is he eliminating deputies in general. Dr. Bob wished me to remain as a deputy, but I couldn't.

Not sure exactly what you meant by this, but Deputy Racer posted on both Writing and the Meds board last week, and Dinah has explained her current situation a few threads up. I'm feeling a little distressed about speculation.
