just so ppl know.
The opt out option is good imo. For those who may not be aware, the Twitter links do make an entire thread accessable. Those who don't wish their posts to be Twitter posted might still have their posts Twitter available.
Of course, posts are available though search engines as it is.

So the initial post, for ex, was posted by, say, "Blippy" & then the whole thread shows up? Or does someone 'click' on what "Blippy" said & then the whole thread shows up?
Sorry I feel really dense about all this.
Is it like a sentence that shows up on Twitter, with the option of clicking on it & then one arrives on the thread?

Exactly. (well, almost exactly... appears Dr. Bob made the Web addresses of the posts he quoted into "TinyURLs" [using http://tinyurl.com/] so they would fit on Twitter's limited space - it cuts them down by more than 50%)
You can try it here - just click on the link at the end of each tweet:

There have been so many intelligent, thoughtful, empathic posts here over the years. But the little excerpts on Twitter don't reflect any of those wonderful qualities. In my opinion, they just look stupid.

It can be hard to do a lot in 140 characters. But the tweets do link to the original intelligent, thoughtful, empathic posts.
If anyone would like to suggest excerpts that do reflect those wonderful qualities, they should feel free to use the notify button.

As a reminder to those reading this thread (Twinleaf is blocked now), I ask that posters not post anything that could lead others to feel put down:
