What's up with San Fran next weekend???
Is the San Fran thing still on??? Sorry I haven't stayed close like I wanted to... May be way toooo late, but out of town family stuff is finally on the wain after an arduous 6 month ordeal... Please update me so I can prioritize... San Fran is my back yard, sorta...

I believe it's still on, though I am not able to go. :( Our house needed some major repairs, and I couldn't justify the expense given that we're cutting back all over.
I think it's next weekend, and I'm sure Deneb could fill you in on the details.

Thanks for the quick update... When my life slows down, my "baser" nature still tries to kick in and tell myself that I don't deserve your consideration and quick response... This realization hieghtens my awareness of how grateful I am for the likes of you...
These last 3 days have so suddenly been slow after 6 months of constant adrenelin rush that I question my judgment when I stand up and start to walk; "Am I doing the right thing, walking in this direction??????" Egad this sucks!!! (much less than it used to, but still sucks)...
And, yet you've survived the last 3 years living near/in the "Crescent City" disaster... That image of your strength and perseverance at first makes me feel like I'm a "whiner"; I get ahold of myself and do an OOB and see it as what it is, your strength and perseverance... Yep, you're the real deal; a miracle and, hopefully, a friend...
May your friendship rub some of your strength and perseverance off onto me...

You give me waaay too much credit, Rod. I'm not particularly strong or persevering (just ask my husband). It's just that life tends to roll on, no matter what happens. All of us down here just roll on along with it. Things are much better here though, in much of the city, and our house problems had only a tangential relationship to the storm, if any relationship at all. Just one of those things.
And of course you deserve the consideration of others. If I'm ever not prompt in replying it's because of what's going on in my life, not anything to do with what you deserve. :)
You also might want to email Dr. Bob to get an invite to the Yahoo group where all the real planning is going on, if you're going to be attending.
