I think I have learned my lesson.;). I was bad and deeply regret the post that got me blocked, (not)..The person I replied to and got blocked for was actually blocked the day BEFORE I replied to him/her.. I am thinking that babble is not a safe place to be. It seems to me that I am a gerbil in a cage and every once in a awhile master Bob comes and looks in over the top and maybe slaps the gerbils biting each other. He uses me for research and to write papers..checks out my reactions to this and that.. How interesting. Has his students check out the cage to see how the gerbils are doing and too..Every once in a while they seperate an offending gerbil and keep it all alone to teach it some lesson that it has yet to grasp.

Your post did make me laugh.
Aside though, on the subject of being 'watched', it does cross my mind a little when I see how many university psychology departments and such have a link here to PsychoBabble. It does make me wonder sometimes if what I post is being used as some kind of class or student project or something. I guess we got to be aware that may be the case. Sometimes I am uncomfortable thinking that though, but I do understand it's my choice to post and what to post.

I have thought about being watched and used for a paper too.. I too am aware of it and choose whether to post or not so I take a chance that someone is using my words, thoughts, etc for study.. kind of scarey for me really

That does sound unsafe. Either you get bitten by another poster or you get slapped by me. Would it help if others shared what they do when they're in a place that doesn't feel safe?

*When I feel unsafe i get vigilant and tense.
I get fight/flight/freeze response.
I go into mode that is safest.
All muscles are ready.
My eyes see all.
I will fight and rip and tear if I have to.
I prepare to defend myself when I feel unsafe.
I don't like it.FWIW, I would rather be bitten by a fellow gerbil I can see and fight and understand, than slapped unexpectedly by a giant mysterious hand :-(
Getting slapped unexpectly is traumatizing to gerbils.
Then to be slapped and my friends all are hidden from me :-( Then that is bad. But reckon this gerbil has figgered the bmail or email or chat thing. This gerbil knows that now. But it hurts gerbil to see friends 'talking' and gerbile wants to be there but can't be :-(
This makes gerbile feel like leper and this is a problem this gerbil suffers with thinking.
Gerbil not happy.
Gerbil sad.
Sad gerbils running around afriad and unsure if hand is gonna get them(ONE HAND< ONLY ONE HAND).
Thats all.

When I feel slapped, I either want to hurt back, or I just go away never to be seen again as the person others knew. I don't rock the boat; I become invisible.

the giant mysterious hand that comes out to slap me hurts me too.. gerbils are sensitive creatures and the unexpectant slap scares and hurts them. they would rather get bitten by another gerbil.. at least they can see it coming. Then the giant hand throws the offending gerbil in a cage all alone to think about what it has done even though it has no idea of what it has done wrong, so it has no idea of what it is supposed to think about so it is just sad and alone. and the gerbil world goes on
