People hang around Psycho-Babble and use Dr Bob and his deputies as a punch bag. They complain persistently about how Psycho-Babble is being run, yet they keep coming back for more.

I wonder if some people who participate on Admin fairly regularly see their participation as being somehow different than that of others. But to be on Admin is in itself usually to be "complaining" about something. Even supporting someone in their predicament is to be complaining about something else. Personally I just don't see a *lot* of what I would call complaining for the sake of complaining, or to blow off steam obviously created elsewhere. To the posters themselves, they probably feel like they are either helping or what they are saying needs/deserves to be said (or is relatively neutral and non-inflammatory); just as you may feel about your own posts on Admin...

Well, complaints sometimes do result in change. And punch bags sometimes do serve a purpose...

Deputies serving a purpose as tools? Obviously. We've talked about that. Gets your needs met, blah blah blah.
Deputies serving a purpose as punching bags?

I'm speechless, because I understand now that you do indeed mean it when you say things like this. And yet I'm still astonished. Nauseous, too. But astonished.
Sincerely,

I think the deputies are treated well here! I disagree with the statements Bob posted!
I am concerned that you believe yourself to be a warped tool. I don't think you are. I hope God comforts you.

Well an upside is that personally I do like to see Dr. Bob be willing to express more of his actual opinions, "safe" or not...
