When I started a post today and was ready to confirm it, something very strange happened. It had my old posting name that I had for a short time listed. I didn't type that in and it had my old password. I had to change it to the current info. Okay, I am kinda freaked out about it. Is the hacker still doing sh*t? I am scared.

Hey Happyflower,
I'm not aware of anything new going on though there could be. Did you by any chance change browsers or go back to an older version? That might cause what you describe.gg

I didn't do anything different. I have always had the same browser since I have been on Babble. It had Satindoll posted and my old password, which I don't even remember what it was.

Your browser found an old cookie. Nothing to worry about. It was an internal process on your own computer, done automatically. You probably deleted the most recent cookie (constantly over-written with each visit as happyflower), and the computer simply found the next most recent one, which would also happen to have a different posting name.
You have not been hacked.

Thanks Larry,
I don't know much about computers and it kinda freaked me out, like the hacker got my old info or something. I understand how it all works but you put my mind at ease. Thank you.

Don't worry, Happyflower. That's happened to me several times-- for reasons that I never could explain, sometimes my old posting name would come up, with my old password-- I would just erase it in the boxes and put in the more recent info-- and everything went back to normal.
I think it's business as usual, not a sign of the hacker. It happened to me when I changed my name previously-- several times afterward-- and then has even happened occasionally at random intervals since then. It also happened to me a couple of days ago-- so it doesn't surprise me that it might be going on with others.
It's really okay.
Honore
