I know there was a thread there, because I was talking to clearskies about her stepdaughter. I posted 3 times and she did 2 times I believe and it vanished today. What the heck is going on?

Seems to be there now. Doesn't mean it wasn't moved/missing when you checked though...maybe Dr. Bob was doing something and forgot to put it 'back'...?

I am totally freakin paranoid bout this damn place.
If bob gonna be messing around he SHOULD SAY SOMETHING, though it would seem he's f-off again....

I don't know. I can't say HF didn't see or NOT see what she stated. She possibly could have missed it by mistake, or it could have been temporarily moved, and then put back.
Actually, I was wondering if Dr. Bob thought a thread about stepparents belonged on the Parents board and so he moved it. That would make sense. Then I looked and found it still on Relationships. I was just speculating out loud for a possible explanation - nothing bad or suspicious, just maybe a change of mind by Dr. Bob?

I'm sorry, but I understand. I think it's okay, though, just in a transition stage of recovery from the hacking, maybe? We all have them, and Babble as a community probably has to have them, too, as uncomfortable as they are to go through. Nothing in this life ever stays the same always, you know? Not even the safe, nice things (like Babble) that we count on. But sometimes it's just a temporary thing....doesn't mean the thing/person/community is forever messed up...just briefly evolving? Kinda like those pesky, painful emotions - powerful and sometimes upsetting, but if we can just remember - transitory.

I'm sorry, I think I caused a misunderstanding. I said what I did because I remember him mentioning to the deputies recently he was reading through the Relationships board (I forget exactly why - if he said) So when I saw HF's post, I thought it might not be just a coincidence - maybe he'd moved a thread to another board or something. If so (and I have no idea) that would just be him doing normal Dr. Bob admin stuff, which for me, is comforting.

I believe he may have gone out of town again after the APA conference. But he has been looking over some boards and has set a specific future time to talk with the deputies...so those are good things, no?

well, I do think he's trying. And this coming from a deputy who holds him to a pretty high standard and also asks the same questions you do and challenges him on this..... Time will tell. But I think he cares and is invested and is trying. I think maybe time management and balancing parts of life is VERY difficult. (This is all just IMHO, remember.)

I think it's monitored, the best we few deputies can do. (and I know you're *not* criticizing the deputies, muffy) I wasn't available/feeling well for quite a while, but now I am pretty okay. Hopefully that will help a bit. We all have our 'stuff' (I know you understand that all too well) so sometimes maybe everything happens all at once to several of us - AND Dr. Bob is gone, and that's what it gets/got downright ugly.

not that i think they should be moved, just the previous one was jsut a few posts, possibly the one prior to the new one.
if we're talking about the same one. from sexie pie, AKA scratch pad? about step parenting? i'd go find the link, but i'm so lazy and somehow i always mess that sort of thing up.
i could be completely wrong, but is that the thread(s) you're talking about dear? if so, i can understand why it was moved...
