on the newbies page today. i was answering posts (about 3 years old. hey, at least i'm consistent in being late to welcome, right?) and this post came up:

anyone else seeing a strange pop-up (yes, i giggle when i type that still) that reads 'hi' from bill gates himself? if i click 'ok' will i pretty please marry him too....
i hope i didn't just give all of you a virus, though it wouldn't be the first time. an antibiotic should clear it up, right? (oh, i couldn't help that one.)

What happened was someone snuck in a little javascript, asking that a small pop-up saying "Hi!" would appear as the page was loading. Thus, the testing. It's harmless, although Dr Bob may not be happy about it being there.
I'm very, very sorry that it wasn't someone hitting on you, but at this point it seems you have a large number of suitors -- I'm sorry, but I like my husband just now too much to consider marrying anyone else as well, but it's nothing personal and I'll let you know if it changes -- and so I doubt this loss will grieve you for long.

i just have two more questions for you dear.
first off, about the anti-biotics, so that's why i'm still all itchy?
and who asks more questions, me or mister bob?
