I used the motify process, but now I understand it is a one way system, blinding the users to the results. People are blocked/warned almost every day for using generalizations or calling political figures uncivil names. How is this different ?

I understand that you have notified the administrators and have not yet received a response?
Please notify the administrators again, or post a request on admin to remind the administrators to look for your notification.
In fact, I'll consider this a notification of an unanswered admin request and look for your original notification.
Please do not post a request for determination on Admin, under the new site guidelines.

The post contains a question about the process as well as a question about the civility of a specific post. Dr. Bob requests that the latter be posed via the notification system.

Hi notfred,
I located your request, and it doesn't show that it's been "closed" as of yet, meaning there is no decision. Unfortunately, we're not able to communicate this to you privately or to let you know eventually if no action is taken (and why), since you do not have babblemail set to receive. This is one of the issues that hasn't been solved yet about the notification system.I think it's reasonable to expect that your request can be closed out with a decision one way or another by late tomorrow night. If you wish, you could email me, and I'd be glad to let you know about it. I would keep your email address private. Otherwise, you could watch for action or inaction, and if inaction, you could assume it was viewed as civil since I've promised you a decision by the end of the weekend.
I'm sorry for the delay.
Namaste

Cool thanks. I posted the wrong link to the thread I was concerned about; my original notification should have the correct one. Sometimes I think my clipboard
has a mind of its own.Dr Bob has responded to my notifications at my registered e-mail address in the past; are the deputies not able to do this ?

Nope. The deputies don't have access to registered email addresses. The only way we can respond to notifications is through the babblemail system.
This is the end of the thread.
