Dr Bob Do You Have Patients?

I was wondering if you are primarily involved in psychiatric research or psychiatric administration, or whether you spend most of your time as a practicing physician treating patients?

I found this:

I'm pretty sure he sees students at the University of Chicago.

Hope you don't mind me telling people this Dr. Bob. This info is easily available on the web.

Questions for Bob

I have some questions too. I doubt they will ever be answered. I don't need to know them. I'm just curious, but maybe it's best if I don't know some of the answers.

I would like to know,

Bob's birthday
If Bob has children

Hmmm....I guess I don't have a lot of questions. LOL Some of my questions have already then answered. Questions like:

Bob's favourite colour
If Bob has any pets

Maybe I don't really want to know about Bob's real life. I like him as he is in my imagination.

Dr. Bob, the student counselling service at the U of C sounds really comprehensive. We don't have on call emergency counsellors at my university. We're supposed to call the distress center or go to the ER I suppose. We also don't use e-mail, well, at least not with my pdoc.

It's weird, but it's amazing how different pdocs can be. I wonder what kind of pdoc you're like. In my mind you would be like my pdoc, who's more of a T.

My pdoc is more a therapist than anything. My replacement pdoc didn't do therapy at ALL. It was so obvious he didn't know how to deal with me non meds wise. For example, I told him I purged and he just told me to, Stop because it's gross."

Oops, sorry for the tangent. It's just interesting, thinking of Dr. Bob as a pdoc rather than an administrator. Very strange.

Love you no matter who you are. ((((((((((((((((Dr. Bob))))))))))))))

When I think of you as a pdoc I tend to think you're more caring.

I've often thought that Dr Bob must be *the* most knowledgeable pdoc there is, because he gets to read babble all the time, so he must know an awful lot of stuff. And what it feels like to be patient.

My pdoc, for instance, didn't even know that wellbutrin is an AD; on the other hand, it is only licensed here for smoking cessation and she is a very caring person. And quite mumsy which somehow resassures me and inspires confience in her.

So. He must have patients otherwise you can't really call yourself a doc. And I expect you have to be actively practising in your field to keep your dr's license. Or something like that.

Kind regards

Meri
