Lou gives thanks,

Posted by Lou Pilder on August 27, 2006, at 17:22:59

Friends,
Before I leave , I would like to give special thanks to those that have tried to help me here to have those posts that have the potential to arrouse antisemitic feelings or to accuse the Jews of killing Christ to be sanctioned, which were not.
My deep thanks to AuntieMel, for if any of you are going through the archives, you will see that she was one that questioned some posts. And she also can be seen to tell a poster that she would not repeat what the poster wrote that IMO has the potential to arrouse antisemitic feelings.
And my thanks to SLS who posted that he could not fault me for trying and to be diligent.
Best wishes,
Lou PIlder

So you're thanking SLS but he's still not to post to you? That certainly is awkward.

I just read the above request *after* having posted a reply to the same poster in a thread above. I've noted the above request, and I am delighted to honor it while posting as a fellow Babbler. I'm willing to accept any consequences for not having known about the request while I was composing the other post.

However, for clarification purposes, I wish to reiterate what Dr. Bob has said in the past about DNP's directed towards deputies. A deputy may still post to a poster if it falls within their role as a deputy despite any DNP request said poster may make.

regards,
gg

The rule inbetween the gester of giving thanks is awkward?

The act of giving thanks IMO is courteous.

I never said it wasn't courteous. I think thank you's *are* in general, usually courteous. And I also think saying thank you to someone you've asked not to respond to you could result in what feels like a socially awkward situation.

That's all.

Apparently, the issue is somehow resolved, which I think is a good thing.

I don't understand what you mean by sanctioned. If the posts are no longer available then isn't this the same thing?

I don't understand.
