You can search for posts posted by you and count them, but the search function isn't perfect...

That's come up before, but not everyone has liked the idea. But we could reconsider it...

I like the idea of having number of posts/joining date visible. I come on here for a few months at a time, then have a few months break - when I come back it feels like I'm a new poster as the newer people don't know I've been here for a long time.

I'd hate it for obvious reasons.
I think I might feel ashamed.
But I'd still like to be able to look for posts by particular posters, although I understand the arguments against that.

I'm also not sure I like the implications involved. :( As far as what's important to know about other posters. *Maybe* date registered, but probably not since with name changes it wouldn't be all that accurate.
