I haven't yet (to my knowledge) been DNP'd. But I can't be sure. Can there be a rule that DNPs must be mentioned in the subject line and the "add name of previous poster" box checked? Like,
Subject: DNP » badhaircut
or
Subject: Don't post to me » badhaircutI don't always check back on threads I've responded in, and I often cancel email notices in them. I may well be oblivious to a DNP.
Larry Hoover raised the question of a DNP registry, which might be nice, but a subject-line rule would be easier to implement.

OK, now I'm not sure that it would help. I doubt I'd ignore a post flagged "»" to me if I saw it no matter what it had in the subject line. I guess it's really a question of knowing about the DNP in the first place, which my idea wouldn't help much with...
