newbies posts

Sometimes newbie posts ask very specific questions regarding medication. I think they would receive more responses on the babble board. I think it would be nice to have a duplicate of such posts on the babble board, or maybe even to move them to the babble board.

Unless more people want to sign up as greeters then how about giving a greeter the option of doing this?

That's an interesting idea...

1. Anyone can cut and paste from one board to another. I think I posted how I used to do this myself once, but can't seem to find it now...

2. I use a semi-automated way to repost now, I guess making that available would be another option...

3. But what about just explaining to them how to get to the main board themselves? Give a newbie a fish, and you feed him for a day...

Yes but then doesn't my posting name come up as the poster? That happened to me once before and all the replies were directed to me like it was my post. I did say that I was trying to redirect a newbie post - but people didn't seem to get that.

Sure, thats what I have been doing. I think it is a bit tricky sounding and offputting. But then I suppose it is up to them how important their question is. Depends on how accessible you want this to be I suppose.

PS I don't really care too much. Just a thought..

That's an issue, yes -- and an advantage of the semi-automated system. But you could try to clear, including in the subject, that it's a repost...
