The Bobblemeister, Bobinator, the Psyco Bobbler

Dr. Bob,
Since I stumbled upon your playground, I've given you a lot of abuse because you won't let me play dodgeball. You say it's unsupportive. Well, as I recall the good players strategically try to take out the hardest throwers on the other team first, but I digress. I'm reminded of childhood playgrounds where bullies prey on the weak. Then someone stands up to the bully and, even if they end up with a bloody nose, two things generally happen. The bully usually gives some respect to the vanquished, moving on to easirer prey and the brave challenger feels bigger for the effort. I guess I'm not sure what this illustrates here in Bobbleland, but I just want to say, you really know how to take a punch. And dispite your diminutive photo, you're looking mighty formidable to me these days.

Now get outta here before I give ya an extreme makeover.

I have learned a few lessons here and since I humiliated myself on PBW I'm feeling contrite. Can I ask did you see my deception with Atticus before I disclosed it to him? If you did, were you just waiting to see how the two of us would handle it? If there was methodology to your laissez faire approach, given Atticus' ire, I wish you had called me on it. Though I suppose he would have been just as angry either way.

I will confess that there is a lot to be learned here about civil discourse. Though not the express intention of this site, civility is a nonetheless valuable, if not therapuetic, seconday benefit of participating here. Maybe, what I'm beating around the bush in saying is, I feel crappy that someone my age has to act so adolescent when I don't get my way. There I said it. I wish I felt better.

I hate it when jokes backfire too.
Hey, you are a sweet and thoughtful guy, remember?
That being said, sometimes we all slip up :-(

Oh, b*llocks. Just let it go, mate. Mistakes were made, but no one was killed. It's well out of my system by now -- it just really blindsided me at first. Ta and hurrah. ;) Atticus

Oi! Don't forget that I'm the one who composed the lyrics to "Restless Buttocks" on Social for Sabrina ('tis "@ss"-free, Father Bob, I swear it on Freud's cigar). So there's plenty of adolescent behavior to go around here. Not ALWAYS a bad thing. ;) Atticus

Thanks, I think I will, let it go that is. I was trying to figure out why I did it, then the Ramones spoke to me,
Give me some skin
Give me some gin
I want some wine
I lost my mind

Previously I asked Bob to remove the Babble-meter and install a Breathalyzer. If you fail, you can't post. I'm sure he's hard at work on it.

Two of my favourite guys on Babble had a fight and made up. I love it. You two are awesome.
Toph, I don't know if I told you this, but you coming to Admin when I was blocked and putting it all together for DB made me want to cry. Maybe not the place to post this, but I'm feeling lazy.

I feel like I groveled a bit, but inasmuch as I created the problem I have no regrets about eating a little crow.
Susan, if you keep flattering me, you know that you'll just have to put me in my place later. I really didn't know you when I went to bat for you. I was just trying to get into another board beside PBA and you and Gracie and Jane and alexandra all seemed to be having fun on social (isn't that what it's for?). Then out of the blue, Bob blocks you like you told someone here that they ought to kill themselves while masturbating ala the Munsterbater. As I said before, I'd like to think anyone of us here would tell Bob he's nuts when he abuses his power. Anyway, thanks for saying nice things about me. I'm still a little worried because you really chewed me out when you didn't know me very well, what is going to happen when I piss you off now that we're friends?

Um, thanks?

I don't think I've ever been called laissez faire before! :-) I thought it was clear you were kidding, but in retrospect of course I should've said something...

That was an interesting point that came out in the survey... Which reminds me...

Thanks for owning your part in this, and for trying to work things out! Best wishes,

Bob
