If I redirect a post on a thread to another board does everyone that previously promted the thread to email them at every new post still get that email to tell them there is a new post?

I don't think so. Do you think they should? Given that it's a change of topic?

IF I redirect a post it is most likely not a change in topic but just putting the continuation of the topic in a more appropriate place.

Lar,
This might seem mind numbing but I want to get it straight once and for all.
If I redirect a thread whether I change the topic title or not does everyone that subscribed to get updated as to new posts on the thread still get an email telling them there is a new post even though that post is on another board? Is that simple enough to reply to or does it not make enough sence?
For instance I reply to a post but change the board my reply goes to. ( I don't think changing the title should make any difference.

I don't think so, no.

This is the end of the thread.
