lou's request to Dr. Hsiung

Posted by Lou Pilder on October 17, 2004, at 11:08:23

Dr. Hsiung,
I am requesting that you make a determination as to if the following is acceptable or not to be posted here in relation to the guidlines for the forum.
The post in question is written by Noa on the [2000] board which is not accessible to me since I am not registered at the moment for that board and only those that are registered can post there. Even if I was a registered member there, I feel that asking you for a determination about the acceptability or not of some of the post's content, rather than asking the poster to clarify what the poster wrote, has the potential to give more light on the things that you make determinations about and could make the forum a more supportive forum.
The first statement by the poster that I am asking you to make a determination as to its acceptability about is:
[...don't go to the administration {at all}...].

Dr Hsiung,
The second part of the post that I am requesting that you make a determination about the acceptability or not of the statement in relation to the guidlines of the forum is:
[...don't go to admin...{mostly a lot of (hostility)}...].
The third part of the post that I am requesting for you to make a determination about is:
[...I don't see anything wrong with your post...so I don't know why it would be raised on admin....I wanted to post in your defense because it {irked} me...there is no dialog there...].
The next part that I am asking for you to make a determination about as to its acceptability or not is:
[...Don't read posts of people who push your buttons...hostile posts...{nothing good} will come of reading those threads...].

As you probably think yourself, I have read your post and personally think there is nothing at all problematic in it. In fact, it is very wise advice. No person is named.

Tho I am starting to wonder if those of us being 'reported' to Dr Bob should pay any attention, until/unless we actually get a PBC from Dr Bob.

Not paying attention is an approach that does work for some...
