Dr. Hsiung,
After reading the following, I felt accused and put down. I am asking you to make a determination as to if the post is acceptable or not in relation to the guidlines of the forum. The part in the post;
[...I think Lou has his own particular issues...].

I dont mind not posting to Lou; in fact, I wouldnt want to anyway, as I would guess that neither of us would find it resolved anything. As well as the fact I think it is important to respect the 'please do not post to me' request from any poster.
Lou and I just have different styles. I appreciate that some people find the most useful way of working on something is to discuss it at length, but I find it useful to be short and reach a conclusion. Or just agree to differ.
On a positive note, I think it is useful when other posters check out posts that someone has complained about (as I have been on both sides of). There is not necessarily a right answer, but it is stressful/irritating/alarming to be 'reported to Dr Bob'. Another opinion helps.
I have just deleted the rest of the text of this post as I realised I was getting drawn into one of these long discussions, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid.

Just so those of us 'reported' can know at what stage we can relax (if we havent had a PBC by then). I'm guessing a few days, but if that isnt correct, could you let us know?
Thanks.

Dr. Hsiung,
Another part that I felt accused and put down was when I read the following:
[...challenging him re his anti-semitic claims...].
Another part of the post that when I read it I felt accused and put down was:
[...Don't let him distract you...].
I am asking that you make a determination as to the acceptability or not of the statement(s),and it is not my intention to distract any one, and felt accused by that statement for the function of the administrative board is, in part, to request that you make determinations on acceptability or not, of statements in relation to the guidlines for the forum.

Dr. Hsiung,
Another part of the post that I felt accused and put down is when I read, [...I think {Lou} has his own ..issues and in some way your post {gave him an opportunity}....].
Dr. Hsiung, I have stdied this statement here and I think that I, {Lou} am the one spoken of in the post and the {him} is me, Lou, and that {Lou's own particular issues} is connected gramatcally to {gave (him) an opportunity}. I feel put down and accused by the connection, for there is the potential to think that it was {my} [issues] that could be the reason that I am asking you for a determination . I do not feel that my request for a determination to you is promted in any way except to have you write a dtermination. I see many parts of these posts that I am requesting determinations about to be of importance for there to be a more supportive forum to come out of your determination, whether it be that the determination is one way or the other. I feel that these determinations are reletive to not just myself, for there have been many posts in the past that could have the statements that I am requesting a determination about be connected to.

In reply to Dr Bob: how soon do you decide whether to PBC?, posted by Fi on October 17, 2004, at 8:16:04
Common sense has prevailed, and I now see that its always up to you to decide. So I dont need a reply to that post.
Lou has as much right as any of us to point out posts that concern him, but that doesnt inevitably make a difference to which messages you will PBC. You have a vast amount of experience in monitoring the boards.
I dont know if its just a UK thing, but there is a saying that 'the referee's decision is final'!
Of course, we all need to remember to be civil ourselves, rather than waiting to be PBCed.

We all have our own particular issues, so I'm going to let it stand.
