The https means secure http site.
Just complete a new registration. The other one will remain active, but if you don't use it any more, that won't matter in the least. I think that if you email Bob with the details of the old account, he can permanently inactivate it, if that's what you want to have happen.
It would be nice if you notified us on the Admin board about the new name.

If you change your posting name, that's now a requirement:

If you just change your email address:
1. At the registration page, go to "update registration" instead of "register for the first time".
2. Just change your email address. And confirm the change if necessary.
3. You don't need to notify anyone.
