She's been missing from the boards for about 6 days now. I wondered if maybe you had called the police again due to one of her posts, and that is why she is missing. I am hoping this is true, since that would mean she is safe.
Since she is not one of your patients, you aren't bound by any confidentiality rules, right?
Just wondering. It would calm everyone's nerves to know. Emmy

I haven't. Would you like to be in touch with them yourself? There might be a way to arrange that...

That sounds like an immense breach of privacy, Dr. Bob. Letting one poster know something about another that isn't on the board.

I agree, but that's not what I had in mind...

It's hard to see how anyone can inform the police without knowing which police to inform. ?
However, there's also the fact that one of the best things about Babble is that we posters have no real responsibility for helping other posters because we really don't have the means to help them. Is it fair to even ask someone to assume that responsibility? Even asking is opening the door for Emmy to feel responsible. I don't know that that is very kind of you, Dr. Bob.
While I also realize that bearing the burden alone must be difficult for you.

I don't mean to single out Emmy. One of the nice things about groups is "diffusion of responsibility", the sharing of responsibility by multiple members.

I am so sorry, guys.
I never meant to cause so much distress.
I'm stepping out of the picture now.
Be good to yourselves.
This is the end of the thread.
