Dr. Bob......Printing an entire Thread?

Posted by EmmyS on March 21, 2004, at 9:11:36

I would like a way to print the contents of an entire thread without having to do it one window at a time. Any chance you could add that option?

Or is it there already somewhere?

Emmy

I asked the same question a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, there isn't any way to do it in one step now.

I don't know if it is on his enhancement list.

It's on my list. But I've had mixed feelings about it, since some threads are really really long. But I'll see what I can do...

Dr. Bob,

I LOVE this feature! Somewhere in the back of my mind in the last week there was a post I want to find. I don't remember much of it, and I tried the google search for what I do remember. But I still can't find it.

So I decided to use a big hammer. It is probably in a current thread in Psycological (or whatever it is called now). I opened an empty document, expanded each of the threads in Psychological, copy and pasted into the document. Then at the bottom of the expanded thread I would put in the URL for the next thread. Not exactly how you saw people using it. I get:

Error: Index of first post too big
Index of first post too big, sorry! Please go "back" and try again.

I tired closing IE and starting again, but my guess is that you are using temporary space somewhere and I used it up.

Sorry!!

Well, I have almost all of the threads in my document, now I'll search for terms that I remember (but only have to search the current threads).

Thanks for this feature, Dr. Bob!

P.S. If you want me to fix it, send me the code...

And when I try to log off I get:

Psycho-Babble Error
Sorry, but "client cookie babblehealthtime babblehealthtime=1081346316870%3A; path=/" is an undefined error.

You got that when you tried to expand a thread? What thread?

Sorry, my mistake, give it another try now?

Psycho-Babble Error
Sorry, but "server cookie babble2001time=1 6" is an undefined error.

When I log on.

Yet, I seem to be logged on. I was just wondering if logging off and on would clear any temporary space I was using from the Psychological expansion I was doing.

This is working again. Did you fix it, or was it when I logged off and on?

Thanks.

I doubt it. I think it might be misleading to call it logging off and on, really it's just saving and restoring cookies...

I did try to fix the problem with logging off. I don't know what happened with expanding threads. Can you reproduce that problem?

Bob
