dinah i really wanted to post a "me too" but i dont believe we can all play..
what are we teaching our kids if we want them to treat all as equals...this is not real life..
we pick our friends...our mates..
we are not the same...
that is life...

I'm not saying that you should post a retraction. Everyone has to do what they need to do.
I suppose as a kid who was frequently belittled, and certainly asked not to play, that philosophy means a lot to me. I don't want my son to have to experience it with the benign neglect of his school. I was never so delighted when I showed up to participate in a class field trip where the moms and dads were carpooling the kids. The teacher asked the kids the carpooling rules and the first little hand in the air answered "When you are told who you are carpooling with, you are really happy. That's just who you wanted to go with." I wouldv'e signed a contract for the whole K-12 on the spot! They lived what they said they lived.
But everyone's experience is different, and priorities differ accordingly. I just realized that if I were prepared to die on the hill of exclusive boards (to use Dr. Laura's terminology) I couldn't very well ask someone not to post to me.
