Have you considered have guest speakers (answer posters questions)?
Like Peter Breggin MD, David D. Burns MD, Ivan Goldberg MD
I think this would be good, do you agree?
Ace.

Ivan Goldberg MD was here.
The last guest, if I remember correctly,
was treated quite badly here.

I don't suppose we'd be all that successful, but it can't hurt to try. Would we have to clear it with you first?
And would you be able to prevent what happened last time from happening again? Maybe tighten the civility rules a bit for the duration of the visit?

Maybee we should have a special forum just for the guest, we could make sure that that civility rules are very high and any one who post something rude gets there message taken out prompt!!!

It's not like I have specific criteria (that's another thread :-), but I do think it makes sense to clear it with me first. I'd hate for someone to agree and then for me to think it was a problem for some reason...
I'd want them to have some background information, but you could include a note from me along with your invitation. That might make it more "official", too.
Or I could just put that note online...

Sorry, can you remind me what happened last time? Being a guest expert can also be an introduction to online groups, which have their cons as well as their pros. Like medication, and like psychotherapy...

> BobHi Bob!
For sure! I will try and track 'em down- Everyone who is reading this post- try and track down guest speakers too!
Bob, we could get one for every Babble site- psychological babble (self-help writers etc), psychobabble faith (religious thinkers etc) babble- what a great idea! My brain never stops ticking!
One last thing Dr. Bob: what about a Nardil scholar guest speaker....you knew I had to throw that in!!!
Cheers!,
Ace

How about a communication psychologist? Such as Friedemann Schulz von Thun. That could bring interesting insight into workings of the board, for sure.

Who is the psycopharmachologist, Kreskin, Preskin (sp)??. He has some excellent web sites of the chemodynamics of polypharm. treatment. He would be an excellent "guest" here.

I'd love Marsha Linehan, or Martha Stout.
Or Pfinstegg's analyst. :)
