It might be a good idea to have a test area where people can post, just to troubleshoot when things are odd, so they don't have to do so on a directed board.
And just a personal thought, when editing lengthly replies, it would be nice to see more than 10 lines at a time (<textarea name="body" cols="50" rows="something more than 10">), so it isn't necessary to scroll around as much looking for a specific section, or highlighting areas to delete. Maybe you could let the users set it as a cookie preference. It's a minor detail, though, and the site works very nicely overall.

It might be, but it might get weird, too. It's fine just to do that here. And I'll delete things afterwards.

That's been on my to-do list for a while. Maybe fonts and colors, too? But I was going to try to switch to a database first...

or maybe I mean icons where you can have the actual smilie face translated from :)
This thought shot into my brain when I read your response about fonts and colors.
Seriously, it'd be nice, but I wonder if it would create a cartoonish board? This is sort of a serious forum, IMO, so it would be weird to see a lot of rainbow colored titles on posts.
Or, maybe I'm just becoming resistant to change in my old age....
nahhhhhhh....
