Dr. Bob:
I have received email notices about new posts and I have emailed back asking this not to happen. It stops for awhile and then starts again. This is the THIRD time I have started receiving again. Please tell me what to do so my inbox doesn't get overloaded. Thank you

John, I don't know if you have tried this yet, but here is what it says on the FAQs about cancelling the email notifications:

"Cancelling email notifications
When you submit a message, you can ask to receive email notifications of follow-up posts. If you change your mind, you can cancel that feature. The cancellation procedure has two steps:
Initiate the request. Each email notification gives you a URL of the form:
https://dr-bob.securesites.com/cgi-bin/pb/extras.pl?x=i&b=xxx&a=xxx&n=xxx
Go to that URL, making sure to enter it in one piece.
Complete the request. You are asked for your name and password. After you identify yourself, that thread won't generate any more email notifications."

have mentioned. The only thing I can say is that I might have hit the email notify above the subject line instead of below on the add name of previous poster. I will just be careful and see what happens. Thanks
