If your administration of this site (PSB in particular) is to become an income venture, and not the hotbed of something very interesting to study, both from with and without, I'll have to graciously bid you adieu.
I feel angry that the time and effort I spend here is now supporting some Amazon scheme, and not A.) an experiment in a novel form of social support; and/or B.) a forum for anecdotal reports of psychoactive medications.
So take my "oobleck" Dr. Bob, and do with it what you see fit.

Dr Bob supports this not only with his time, but also a, to me, substantial amount of his own money.
He can make money by linking books to Amazon, so why shouldn't he?? I'm not trying to make money on the web, but I link to amazons books and have earnt myself about £3!!!
Its not alot of money, and its not supporting Amazon per se. Follow the link, read about the book, and if you like what you see, go buy the book at your local bookstore (if you can find it there). No one is making you use Amazon.

I read your post and I do not have clear picture of what you are describing, for I do not know the background of the situation that you are describing. Are you saying that you were lured in to this site on false pretenses because you were made to believe, somehow, that no profit would be made by the moderator from the participants of the site and that there is something here that makes you believe that there is a profit motive here and not just a site for those interested in reviewing anecdotal reports of psychoactive medications?
I base my interpretation on the basis of your two short paragraphs in your post. Could you verify to me if my perspective is congruent to what you wrote in our post here?
It has been my understanding that the site was for what you described and that no other interests were held by the moderator of the site. It appears to me that you are saying that the moderator of this site is making money from Amazon by the people from this site that order books from them.Is that what you aae saying or am I reading your post incorrectly?

I myself don't see those options as mutually exclusive...
